Operational parameters of the brushes

Generally, internal brushes are used with an oversize (prestressed configuration). Bore diameter, material and brush construction has to be co-ordinated accordingly.

 

Internal brushes can be used for wet or dry applications. On wet applications, typically the brush lifetime increases by 10 to 20 % if a cooling liquid or water are used. Speed and stroke cycles are ideally adjusted to provide the required finish.
